2. Do you have gift vouchers and can you purchase them online?

Yes we do have gift vouchers, there is no expiry date, can be made up to any value and do not have to be used all at once.

No – you cannot purchase online but you can pay for them over the phone and we can hold them at the nursery for collection or express post them to wherever you like.

3. Do you have a garden design service?

Whilst we do not have a garden design service as such, we do have a FREE SERVICE where we encourage you to bring in photos/plans of your garden and one of our helpful staff members will be able to suggest suitable plants to help you achieve the garden of your dreams. We can also recommend independent consultants for you that can look at your garden and give you recommendations and planting designs.

4. I have a very heavy clay soil, what can I do to improve it?

Adding Gypsum to the soil will definitely help break up the clay as will liquid Ground Breakers. The other thing that helps clay soils is adding as much organic matter as possible such as composts and manures. The more you use the better results you will get.

5. Do you sell mulch and what kind of mulch should I use?

We have numerous types of mulch available conveniently packaged and competitively priced. With so many different kinds of mulches available it really comes down to personal choice. For a modern styled garden the coloured mulch can give a striking contemporary look, using a pine bark on native gardens gives a natural feel and Pea straw is brilliant if your soil needs conditioning as it breaks down providing valuable nutrients.

6. When I water my plants the water seems to sit on top – what can I do to fix this?

It sounds as if your soil has become hydrophobic which is common to find in soils that are left bare and not mulched. This is easily remedied by using a wetting agent such as Rapid Soak. Applying this twice a year on garden beds, lawns and pots will greatly improve your soils ability to take in water directly to the root zone where it is needed the most.

7. Do you have seniors discount?

Yes we do! We offer a 10% discount on all Green life in 6” pots and above. This excludes hardware, decorative pots and items already discounted.

8. Do you deliver? And how much does it cost?

Yes we deliver, price is dependent on location so please call for a quote to have your plants delivered. We deliver as far south as Warrnambool, Western District, Ballarat, Melbourne you could say we will deliver to more or less anywhere.

9. I am after particular plant, are you able to get it for me?

If we can, we will! We spend a lot of time on a weekly basis sourcing plants for customers, landscapers and local councils. With a huge supplier base available to us we can pretty much source most things, whether it be a large specimen tree or a punnet of vegetables if it is available we will find it.

10. I bought some bare rooted plants and they have not shot – what should I do?

Persist! If the stems are still green, the plant is still alive. Not all trees will come into leaf at the same time it is common for some Ornamental trees not to leaf until January! We recommend Seasol upon planting and every 2 weeks thereafter and in early Spring a complete fertiliser such as Seasol ‘Powerfeed’ or Organic life. Whatever you do – talk to us, we are here to help and will talk you through how to best look after your purchase.

11. I found a tree that I like but not ready to plant it yet are you able to hold it for me?

Yes we can look after your purchase and hold it for a short period until you are ready for it.

12. Do you have Layby?

Yes we do, generally it is 2 months which require a deposit and regular payments, these terms can be extended if need be depending on circumstances.
